Late last year, in conjunction with Nottingham City Council, we held a competition for one lucky couple to win a wedding photography package. That couple was Nicola and Lisa who by pure coincidence chose to get married at the Council House in the centre of Nottingham. As we've mentioned in a previous post when we did their preshoot, this was our first civil ceremony and our first wedding at the Council House so we were a little nervous but there was no need as, despite a few unforeseen problems (such as the Council opening a beach in the square in front of the Council House on a roasting hot day and thousands of people turning up!) and a few issues with transport, everyone had a fantastic time. The service was followed by a blessing at the beautiful St John the Evangelist Church in Carrington finishing off with a reception at Stadium Leisure where oddly enough, I used to play snooker in my teens!
